Green Energy: cut your carbon footprint, be more eco friendly in your home.

Nearly one third of carbon emissions in the Great Britain come our growing need to burn fossil fuels, which makes the electricity needed to power our ever growing machinery dependent lifestyles.

Such fossil fuel consumption can’t continue forever and we will all need to switch to renewable energy sources in the future such as Solar, Thermal, Hydro-Electric and Wind power.

The problem is most people are put off by the cost and perceived complexity of fitting their houses with Photovoltaic, Solar Kits & Wind Turbines.

There are now many companies that can help with the installation of these Solar Kits and you can even get government grants to offset this cost.

At the very least we should all be looking to switch our energy supply to one of the companies that supply renewable green energy, created by wind or solar power, so that we can all reduce our yearly CO2 footprint.

Some of these Companies include,

  • Good Energy – Generates 100% of its energy from renewable sources such as Solar power generators, wind power and hydro-electric power.
  • Green Energy UK – Generates 100% of its energy from renewable sources, harnessing the power from the Sun, Wind and Rain.
  • Ecotricity – They produce over 20% of their electricity from renewable energy such as wind turbines.

There are many other companies that offer Green Energy Tariffs, such as British Gas who offer a “Zero Carbon” tariff which provides energy which is 100% Carbon Neutral.

Scottish Power – Offers a tariff (H20) which provides 100% of its energy from hydro-electric power.

If you need more information about the different “Green Tariff’s available you should read the Green Helpline website- http://green.energyhelpline.com/energy
